Lydia's Baptism

Lydia was baptized on her birthday last month.  It was such a sweet day.  The Spirit that I felt there was so warm, and wonderful, and amazing.  I am so grateful for this sweet little girl that I have been given and for the choices that she made.  I love you Lydia!

These are the baptism pictures Jeff took before her baptism.  These first few are some of my favorites from the two days.  We went to both the Gilbert Temple and the Mesa Temple, cause Lydia couldn't decide where she wanted to go.  When she went to the Gilbert Temple, it was just Jeff and Lydia.  At the Mesa Temple, we took the whole family, so we have a few of the other kids those day too. :)

Introducing....

Our sweet baby boy, Hyrum Richard!

He was born June10th at 8:51pm, and weighed 7 lbs 10 oz, and was 21 inches long.  His birth is a miracle to me, and I have yet to decide if I want to share it. The part I will share, is he was breech at my 38 week appointment, and due to his position there was no way to flip him safely in the womb.  The safest way to have him born, for both him and me, was to have a C-section.  We scheduled the C-section for June 10th, and then when I was being prepped for the C-section they did an ultrasound, only to realize that he had flipped and was head down.  We decided to break my water and he was born almost 4 hours later.  I am so grateful that he came safely and that I didn't have to have a C-section.  My little miracle! Here are a few pictures from his birth and afterwards.

Holding my sweet boy soon after birth.

I still can't believe how big he was.  He was 13 oz heavier than Claire, who previously had been my heaviest. He is my longest though.
Mommy and Daddy that night after his birth.

The next day.  I love this picture!  So fresh from heaven....
Our first family picture as a family of 6.  The kids were so excited to meet him!  And they love Hyrum so much.  I feel so blessed.
Our sweet little guy on Father's Day.  He looks so cute in this outfit!  I think it is my favorite Sunday outfit for him so far.
Welcome to our family Hyrum!  We love you!

An Update

I keep debating what I am going to do with this blog.  Do I let it die? or do I randomly update it?  Even if it is months and months in between posts?  I haven't decided. Or maybe I have, because here I am posting a few pictures.

So, what is going on in our lives?

Yup, in case you didn't know, I'm pregnant.  I'm 29 weeks in this picture.  Due June 15 with boy #2.  Things are going pretty well so far.  Regular aches and pains that come with pregnancy, and the limitations in what you can do as your body reacts differently with pregnancy #4 as a opposed to #1.  We are excited and anxious for our little guy to get here.

We had a wonderful Easter, and here are the kids in their Easter best.  We had to take pictures after church since we were suppose to be early, and one child was having a little bit of a rough morning.

We did have a wonderful low-key day that ended with us enjoying dinner at my parent's house and spending time with them and my sister's family.

Here are a few cute kid pictures from the last 2 months.

Lydia decided to try her hand at playing the piano upside down like Jon Schmidt.  She was suppose to be practicing and I walked in to find her like this.  The video that inspired her to try this out is here.

Spencer thinks this lion costume is great.  You can't really see the top of it, but I liked his little smile.  He is such a sweet little guy!

This is from Claire's 5th birthday.  Can you believe this girl is 5? Yeah, neither can I.  I love this picture though.  She is looking at me, and was so happy that day.  I am glad that her birthday was all that she hoped it would be!

Jeff and I made it on a little get away for my 30th birthday and a little early anniversary trip (since the baby is due right before our anniversary).  It was nice to just be together and get away from it all.

Jeff has had some fun taking panoramas lately.  This is just one picture from going and seeing wildflowers recently.  They are in full bloom around here!

Now, have a wonderful day!

7 years

In June, Jeff and I celeberated our 7th wedding anniversary.  Some days I think about how it seems like we have been married for forever, and then other days I wonder, "has it really been that long?"

I am grateful to my wonderful husband for all the hard work he puts in for our family to support us.  I love him and glad that we have eternity to be together!

I was holding Spencer when we walked outside to take our pictures, and when he saw the camera he wanted in on the action, and so we took a couple pictures with him, and because he is so cute, here is one!

We also take pictures every year on our anniversary.  I thought it would be fun to show them here.  The top horizontal pictures are: our wedding day, year 1, year 2, and year 6.  The bottom vertical pictures are: year 3, year 4, year 5, and year 7.

A Family Reunion- Hippie Style

The week after Trek, we went to a family reunion for my mom's side of the family.  The theme was, "Peace, Love, and Family Reunions."  Corny, I know, but it was a family reunion, and it was fun!  We were in the great outdoors in camping cabins (meaning, the only thing in them were our beds).  We had a nice area to meet together and have meals together, and a big open space for the kids to run in.  It was mainly dirt, so my kids were filthy!  But they had a blast.  It was warm, but not quite as hot as the Valley was, so it was nice. :)  It was good to get away again, but by the end I was grateful that we weren't going to be so dirty the next week.  And now the pictures, which will tell more of the story.

I brought some crafts for my girls to do.  Claire loved painting her fairy magnet.
Spencer getting all dirty.  Look at that smile!

Eating dinner.  Some days my kids only ate portions of it, but oh well.  Such is the life of a mom with picky kids!
Lydia happy of all the freedom she got running around!
My kids playing with my cousins.  They loved having all the other kids around!

We tie-dyed shirts for family pictures.  I wore gloves most of the time, and then on the last shirt I was lazy and didn't grab gloves.  Oops.  This is what my hands looked like.  Jeff, being my corny husband, looked at my hands, then suddenly grabbed them and said, "I caught you red handed!"  It was funny.
 Walking around....

Spencer was playing with a bat, and Uncle Ryan was helping him for a little bit.

She was making goofy faces for the camera, and this was one of them.
 Family pictures
 My grandparents
 Ryan and Rondy and Bradley
 Natalie and Ben and Samuel
 My parents
Kimia and her kids (Jeff got there that night)
Everyone who made it there for pictures!
The only ones missing were Jeff and Andrew
My parents with all 7 grandkids.  Spencer was really made about this, and Samuel wasn't too happy either, and Bradley started getting a little fussy too.  And Claire and Anita didn't really want to smile.  Haha, I guess that is what happens when you have 7 kids 5 and younger!
My mom with her parents and siblings

 My 3 cute kids!
They were excited when Aubrey drove them up in the 4 wheeler
We went on a little hike and a butterfly landed on my dad.  I think he is trying to get it on Lydia in this picture.

Later, Jeff went on a hike with Ben and he got this great pano of Workman Creek Falls.
We had a great time at the reunion.  Thanks to everyone who planned it and made the effort to get up there!  :)
